Lots of stuff of mine other places than here today!

First up, B-Metro:

We got an iPad and just as I suspected, Conner took to it like a fish.

As I started talking about Conner’s intense new love on Twitter, I was comforted by the number of parents who replied to me with things like “My son is completely addicted to my iPhone. He understands it more than me!” and “I can’t keep my kids away from our Wii, computers or phones! I can’t imagine what it’d be like with an iPad” because Conner is the exact same. Talking with fellow parents made me realize that this behavior, an immersion in technology, is merely a snapshot of their generation.

And then, in case you missed it, my monthly post for BirminghamMommy.com was up last week. It’s actually a repeat for my loyal readers, but for the newbies, it’s a golden goodie.

In college at UA, we had an awesome Rec Center. I have never been the “workout” type of gal, but after my first year (as a Sophomore), I came around. My then boyfriend (now husband) was in Birmingham and I had to find something to do.

So, off I went. Frankly mah dears, I was looking forward to the steam room more than anything… it’s awsomesauce for allergies and your pores… but my conscience kept telling me I needed to actually WORK OUT at the gym…

Stupid conscience….

I hit the treadmill first. I am of the “hate to run outside because there are bugs and hills and rocks and the potential to fall over cracks” variety, so the treadmill made sense.
