Oedipus Chase: al.com
Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 8:07PM I’m a little freaked out, not going to lie. I remember learning about this in intro college psychology and again in child development. The faces of my classmates the most memorable part: The girls squirmed a bit in their seats as the guys held back vomit.
The idea, known as the Oedipus complex, is a theory that children between 3 and 6 can be “in love” with the parent of the opposite sex (and hate the other parent for being with their person). Meaning for me, I have two shots at my boys “catching” this love bug.
