It's My Birthday and I'll Buy Shoes If I Want To.
Friday, March 26, 2010 at 9:04PM It’s Friday night and I’m sitting in my floor wearing patent leather eggplant colored pumps and blogging about it. This is the second time I’m trying to post this, so just trust me that it was way more awesome the first time. Ugh.
Tomorrow is an airshow in Montgomery at the Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base and I’m MORE EXCITED THAN I SHOULD BE. It’s also going to be 71+ degrees, which means I’ll be wearing shorts and seeing as it’s ALSO my bday on Monday (;), I figured I was due for a pair of sandals.
I knew I wanted one pair, but figured I’d take advantage of a Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off Deal and leave with 2. One in white and another in brown.
Many of you know that I ended up in a pickle and asked Twitter for help. You guys DID NOT HELP. Ok, I’m kiding. You did exactly what I wanted to do - and eventually did.
First up, just some gladiator-esque sandals:
The polish is ALSO new - China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise. It’s a super sloppy application not meant for pictures. I just wanted to see what it looked like.
The next one will be for Easter and I’ll pair them with an emerald green, spaghetti strap cotton dress with a white sweater over and a gold necklace to match. SEE, THEY ARE USEFUL!
I luff them.
These next ones are sensible, white strappy sandals.
In stark contrast, these next ones are the definition of ‘splurge’. WHO DOESN’T NEED EGGPLANT PURPLE PUMPS? EXACTLY.

I got all of these at Rack Room Shoes for Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off.
The nail polish was also on sale at Sally’s. Any two China Glaze for $10. The other color I snagged is China Glaze - Solar Power. It’s exactly what you’d think! A sunny, warm yellow. Very Easter-y.
Justified because I wrote a post about it? Eh. SURE!
