Ssshh. Don't tell Winter.

[Here for the BlogHer Sponsorship? Check this post!]

SSSssssshhh. Be very quiet. I may have some sensitive information, and I'm afraid if we all panic, it'll leave.

It may be Spring.

I've got to say that I have no idea how I made it out of Winter alive. Such a crappy time for me mixed in with the blah weather and I was a Ball of Mess.

Then this week, it was Spring Break for Conner. I had a few reservations about having an entire week without school. Fortunately, this week we also "sprang forward" and having an entire week to readjust was perfect timing. Feel free to insert your own rant here about stupid Benjamin Franklin and his hogwash idea. I'm not a farmer (.... does Farmville count?), ergo, I don't give a crap about when the sun comes up.

You know that participation in Daylight Savings is something you can choose? You actually can VOTE on it? Arizona and Hawaii don't use it. Indiana only started in 2006.

This is not a post about daylight savings.

It's about the fact that it's absolutely gorgeous outside. The weather today? 72 and slightly breezy. The trees are blooming and the grass is practically neon green.

I am NOT normally a "oooh! look at the blooming flowers! all the signs of life! yay earth!" kind of gal. As a matter of fact, I'm allergic to Spring - or better, I'm allergic to all trees, most grass, flowers and basically anything else that pollinates.

By this time every year, I'm rubbing my eyes, dosed up on allergy medication, and hiding indoors. For some reason, this hasn't hit me yet, so I actually have the windows open in my house!

Something I can normally never do.

We went to feed the geese at Montgomery's (only fun thing to do) (aghem) Shakespeare Park. It's been so nice lately that the geese weren't hungry and the pond was full of uneaten bread.

Chase refuses to accept that the bread is for the geese. Not a snack.

Don't worry. They are a lot closer to the ground than you think. Chase's thoughts on the whole picture thing.

And now that I've posted these, I'm sure to be a swollen, snotty mess by tomorrow.

I had to take a Benadryl this morning. I'm hoping I can just stay loopy for the next couple of weeks and ward all the nastiness off completely, but I'm not really optimistic about it.

HOWEVER. I have two dogwoods in my yard, and cannot wait for them to bloom.

I LOVE dogwood trees! And I'm ready with my allegra whenever I need it, which I'm sure will be soon. Ugh.
