Mom or Maid? Finding the line - on B-Metro

This week on B-Metro.com:

“The mom job”

Obviously, that’s the name of my blog, but it’s also a very common search phrase that leads random people to my site. And for that reason, and many more, I chose the name.

I guess defining this job, being a mom, depends on a cartload of variables. Do you work outside the home? Are you married? How many kids do you have? What are your “standards” for clean? Do you have oodles of money? Will you please share?

WOW. You know, I can honestly say that every now and then I check in on you to see how you are, and I hope you are well.

BUT this simply blew me away. It's simply amazing to me how some people have absolutely no boundaries. Do me and yourself a favor and at LEAST pick a different layout, if you're going to outright copy my concept. I know you're told this a lot, but HAVE SOME CLASS.

I would send you a message, but I don't know how.

you know what? since I cant remove that comment, I'm going to go ahead and apologize. I honestly think I still harbor some ill feelings toward you because living down the street is kind of awkward and I really do wish the best for you. But let's face it...we've had some awkward moments, and I guess I'm kind of tired of feeling like its just weird.

I apologize for what I said, and it's probably too late for this, but I don't want things to be bad since we do see each other on the street. I don't mean to seem overreactive. it just really made me feel that you had been looking over my site and decided to completely copy, and you know what? if you decide to do that, that's your decision. technically it is different, but I hope you do realize what I was getting at.

I hope you guys are doing well and my comment was brash and I do apologize. I don't harbor any ill feelings toward you and I hope you can do the same. I honestly do wish the best for you guys, and just want to move on.

Shame on me for even looking at your site. It's just nice to check in on you every now and again, since we were friends.

Ashley,

I'm using a template. Srsly? And a 3 column layout because that's what I had on themomjob.net and I just clicked over to supablogga and I looked around... it doesn't seem at all the same? Am I missing something?

Agreed, it's totally awkward seeing as we live 5 houses away. It shouldn't have to be like that - at all. But to think I'm outright copying you? I'm going to have to say I'm a little confused.

I've been complaining about blogger for months now (a post on said unhappiness is here http://www.themomjob.net/2009/12/here-i-am-needing-advice-again-read.html ). I HATED blogger and couldn't manage to learn enough HTML to figure it out on my own. I've been looking around for awhile and noticed that squarespace gave me the ability to change layout design without implementing code.

I do reviews, and needed a URL extension for that - couldn't get that with blogger. I've been trying to start the "polish" (turned fashion) page for months and couldn't get an extension for that either.

We are using the same service that offers the same buttons... how is that copying?

I appreciate the apology and I'm glad I didn't notice this comment before the second message came through. If I can figure out enough CSS to get away from the template, then I'll do so since that's my plan anyways.

If you need anything else or want to explain what it is you feel is me copying you, please feel free to email me: AGZaremba@gmail.com
