The “nail polish” blog - well, I struggled with this one a bit because, yes, I do have a tiny obsession with nail polish, but I found it to be limiting. I love fashion - shoes, dresses, purses and jewelry. Over here, I’ll share styles I’ve come across, trends I’m swooning over and hair, makeup and (of course!) nail polish I’d love to wrap up and take home with me.

How this will work: On the main blog, I’ll update as I normally do with things still relating to “the mom job”, but also the same funny, random content. The problem with “the mom job” is that I didn’t always write about all things baby/toddler/child/mom - sometimes I felt I shocked the pants off a new reader that wandered in unknowingly into what they THOUGHT was another “mommy blog”.
I’m not just a mommy blogger.
There’s also a feed for anything that I’ve updated recently in my left hand sidebar, so when I update any page it’ll say so in that area.
And the name - hush, amanda - well, what’s funny about it is that for the majority of people reading this I don’t need to explain.
I’m a southern girl with a need to be heard. I seem to always have an opinion, and one that I feel needs to be expressed and I love nothing more than hearing from those who read my posts.
I also needed better design and custom url extensions. In short, I wanted my blog to be more than a one-stop shop. I feel like I’m able to do that here. This makes Amanda happy.
For the readers who go to The Mom Job directly, I’ll soon be redirecting that traffic to land on this site. In other words, as soon as I do that, when you type ‘http://themomjob.net’ into your browser, it’ll take you here. BUT — LISTEN UP — after Dec. of this year, I will NOT RENEW that URL. So, if you love me lots and lots, go ahead and save http://hushamanda.com in whatever reader you use. I’ll be putting up an RSS subscription feed into my sidebar soon.
OH! And for those of you who follow me on Twitter 1) You’ll get 50 virgins because you love me more than others and 2) I’ll be changing my twitter handle to ‘hushamanda’. I’ll give it about a month before I do this, and I’ll make sure to warn you all about 50,000 times before I do. Lucky you.
